🌍 Why Ancient Civilizations Glorified Nudity in Art?

 



From Greeks and Romans to Hindus and Egyptians, many civilizations indeed portrayed nudity in their sculptures, paintings, and religious tales. Why?

  1. They equated beauty with divinity — Physical form was worshipped. The body was seen as a god/goddess, and perfection in the human body became their idol.

  2. Pagan roots — Many of these societies were deeply involved in idol worship, mysticism, and sensual rituals. Lust was ritualized, not disciplined.

  3. Lack of divine guidance — Without a clear revelation like the Qur’an, they created religion around desire, not discipline.

🌪️ Why Does the Modern World Stay Silent on This?

In today's "liberal" society:

  • Modesty is mocked, while vulgarity is called "self-expression."

  • Art celebrates rebellion, not responsibility.

  • Feminism pushes exposure, not protection.

  • Academic institutions often teach theories stripped of soul — PhDs and Doctorates that teach how to succeed in the world but forget how to succeed as a human.

But what is success if a man builds empires but fails to protect his mother, respect his sister, honor his wife, and raise his daughter in dignity?

🕊️ Islam — A Revolution of Respect

Islam didn't just ban nudity — it gave every relationship sacred boundaries:

  • Mother: Jannah under her feet.

  • Father: A door to Paradise.

  • Daughter: A shield from Hellfire for her father if raised rightly.

  • Wife: A garment for you — you are a garment for her.

  • Sister: A trust that must be protected.

Islam doesn’t shame sexuality — it disciplines it, sanctifies it, and channels it into love, responsibility, and mercy through nikah (marriage).

🧠 Modern Education ≠ Moral Evolution

A degree without values is like a sword in the hands of a madman.

Education is meant to civilize us, not animalize us.

That’s why Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Modesty is part of faith." (Sahih Bukhari)

A faithless education will never value modesty, and a modest person will never find comfort in faithless societies.

“O people of intellect and influence! You’ve built rockets to Mars but failed to build respect between men and women. You break down every barrier in the name of freedom but forget the barrier that separates man from beast — morality. Wake up before the flood comes. Modesty is not oppression, it’s protection. Islam has preserved the soul of woman and the honor of man. It’s not too late — come and see what Islam truly teaches. Not to shame you, but to save you.”

May Allah make us ambassadors of truth with wisdom, not just anger — with light, not just flame. Aameen.

Let’s raise this voice — for the sake of every child who deserves to grow in a world of respect and purity, not perversion.
