🕌 "When Nations Bleed, Believers Must Reflect"
The Jihad Within: From Self to Society
In times of internal chaos and external threats—when nations suffer, systems
crumble, and enemies gather—many look outward. They point fingers. They chant
slogans. They curse leadership, governments, or foreign powers.
But the true believer… looks inward first.
“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they
change what is in themselves.”
(Surah Ar-Ra’d, 13:11)
⚔️ Why Blame the
Enemy for Being an Enemy?
Let’s pause and ask ourselves:
Why are we so shocked when our enemies deceive us, weaken us, spy on us,
or try to ruin our economy and unity?
Have we forgotten their job?
“Indeed, Shaitan is your clear enemy,
so take him as an enemy.”
(Surah Fatir, 35:6)
If Iblis is our lifelong enemy, why do we
act surprised when his followers behave like enemies?
Blaming your enemy for harming you is like blaming fire for burning you.
The fault lies in touching it carelessly,
not in its nature.
We must stop expecting righteousness from
those whose very mission is to corrupt, divide, and dominate us—economically, morally, and mentally.
Our mistake is not just in trusting them—
It's in forgetting who we are,
and who they are.
⚖️ 1. The First Court: Self-Accountability
Let us ask ourselves before questioning others:
·
Are we honest in our dealings?
·
Do we pay taxes, respect queues, obey
laws, and fulfill contracts?
·
Are we committed to salah,
truthfulness, modesty, and purity of intention?
·
Do we boycott corruption within our own family,
or stay silent to avoid "breaking relationships"?
“Hold yourselves accountable before you are held accountable. Weigh
your deeds before they are weighed for you.”
— Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)
Reform begins here. Not in parliaments. Not in drawing rooms. But in
the mirror.
💰 2. Economic Decline Begins with
Moral Decay
No nation collapses economically before it first collapses morally.
·
When bribery becomes normal…
·
When shortcuts are preferred over hard work…
·
When status is honored over sincerity…
Then shops lose barakah, salaries lose soul, and businesses become nothing
but worldly traps.
“The one who cheats is not from us.”
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih Muslim)
"Those who eat up the wealth of others unjustly are only
filling their bellies with fire."
(Surah An-Nisa, 4:10)
How can we expect national stability when we fuel our economy with lies?
🧠 3. Intellectual Jihad: Not Just Swords, But Truth
True jihad begins not on the battlefield, but in the battle
of values and voices.
·
Speaking the truth, even when it’s bitter.
·
Saying “I was wrong” instead of defending
falsehood.
·
Standing against injustice—be it from your own
tribe, party, or blood.
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, even if it be
against yourselves, your parents, or your kin.”
(Surah An-Nisa, 4:135)
When we protect wrongdoers just because they are "ours", we are no
better than the enemies we blame.
👨👩👧👦
4. Build Self → Family → Society → Nation
First yourself, then your family, then relatives
and friends.
That is the Prophetic model.
·
The Prophet ﷺ received revelation → he reformed
his character
·
Then came Khadijah (RA), then Abu Bakr (RA),
then Ali (RA), then society
·
Only then, after years of purification and
silent da’wah, came the Islamic State
We are trying to fix governments without first fixing our own hearts
and homes.
🛑 5. Social Boycott of Evil
When we keep shaking hands with the corrupt…
When we invite cheaters to our weddings…
When we make room for liars in our friend circles…
Then we lose the right to complain.
“Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if
not, then with his tongue; and if not, then with his heart—and that is the
weakest of faith.”
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih Muslim)
Social boycott is not hatred. It is mercy with firmness. It
says: “We love you, but we won’t endorse your wrong.”
☝️ 6. “I’m Good, You Be Good Too” — A Trap
This is the core fitnah of our time.
Everyone says:
“I’m okay. They are the problem.”
“I’m honest. My leaders are corrupt.”
“I’m praying. They’re not.”
No, bro. True Islam says:
“Even if I’m right, I must invite, guide, correct,
and also say sorry when I err.”
Humility is the real power.
“The best among you are those who are best in character.”
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Bukhari)
✊ Conclusion: Jihad un-Nafs is the Real Jihad
No Muslim should ask for divine help when he:
·
Cheats in business
·
Disrespects parents
·
Wastes time on social media
·
Lies to teachers and tax officers
·
Praises the wrong and punishes the right
First we purify ourselves, then we will see divine help,
insha’Allah.
Just like Salahuddin Ayyubi trained himself and his men for years in salah,
fasting, and purification before Allah granted them victory in
Jerusalem.
💡 Final Message:
When your heart becomes a Quran,
Your home becomes a madrasah,
Your dealings become halal,
And your tongue becomes soft and truthful—
Then, and only then…
The Ummah will rise.
And Allah’s help will descend.
Because He helps the pure—not just the loud.
👑 Final Insert Summary:
So before we chant:
- “They betrayed us!”
- “They planned our destruction!”
- “They corrupted our systems!”
Let’s ask:
"What were we doing when
they did it?"
"Were we united, sincere, and firm on our Deen?"
Or were we so busy mimicking them, befriending them, and trusting them...
That we forgot Allah warned us clearly?
“Never will the Jews or the
Christians be pleased with you until you follow their way.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:120)
Enemies are not dangerous because
they are strong.
They are dangerous because we are weak from within.
That’s where we rebuild.
From the soul.
To the house.
To the street.
To the Ummah.
And then, no enemy—internal or
external—can defeat us, bi’idhnillah.
